Read moreMaxim’s goal is to help medically fragile students successfully progress in school and prepare for the future. We work with school systems to develop and deliver solutions centered on effective healthcare delivery and optimal student experience. Our 1:1 school nursing services allow students who receive nursing or personal care at home to also be cared for in school without disrupting the continuity of the patient’s care.
We can provide staff who only focus on contracted school care or staff who follow the student’s course of care from school to home. In some instances, a Maxim caregiver may be able to provide care to more than one student. Our in-person training and competency programs allow Maxim nurses to learn new skills and refine existing ones while under a trained RN’s supervision and oversight.
Continuous care for children with varying needs and diagnoses, including:
· G-tube feeding
· Tracheostomy care
· Ventilator management
· Cerebral palsy
· Chromosomal anomalies
· Muscular dystrophy
· Respiratory failure
· Type 1 diabetes
· Seizure disorders
Maxim hires licensed nurses to meet the needs of the students we serve. Our nurses complete demonstrations and show competency in necessary skills before working with our patients and students. In addition, our nurses meet all federal, state and local requirements.
